These terms are an agreement between you and Ubique Technologies OÜ (Estonia) ("we", "us") for the use of the Keen Drop iOS application. By signing in or using the app you accept them. If you obtained the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard licensed-application terms also apply; Apple is not a party to this agreement and has no support or warranty obligations for the app.
Keen Drop is a tool for sharing the photos of an outing with the people who were there. An album also takes clips of up to 15 seconds, re-encoded to 1080p on your device before they go up, sound included. It is not a backup service and not a permanent archive. The permanence of your photos comes from your own device: save them to your camera roll.
The copy of an original file kept on our servers expires 30 days after the album was created. That is the product, not a limitation to work around. Saving an album to your camera roll is free and always available before then: a photo in the original quality and format, a clip in the 1080p copy that was shared, which is the only copy that ever reached the server.
What survives the 30 days differs by kind, and it is worth reading twice. A photo leaves its 1600px preview, which is still the photo. A clip leaves one still frame of itself; the clip is gone. The app says this before you drop a clip, not on the day it happens.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where the law permits it.
Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered monthly and yearly, with a free trial where indicated. While it is active, albums you are part of keep their originals beyond the 30 days, and the Camera Mirror and Camera Coach features are unlocked.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency and may change with notice.
Keeping an album's originals with Pro applies to albums that two or more people dropped into. If you cancel, the 30-day rule resumes from the date of cancellation, and you keep the time you already paid for.
The photos you drop stay yours. You give us the limited technical permission needed to store them and show them to the people the album belongs to, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use your photos for advertising, we do not sell them, and we do not use them to train AI models.
You are responsible for having the rights to what you drop, and for the people in it. Do not drop photos of people who would not want them shared. Anyone tagged in a photo can remove their tag or hide it, and anyone can delete a photo they dropped.
We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these rules.
The service has limits that exist to keep it affordable and workable: a cap on how much an album holds, on active albums per account, on uploads per day, and on how long a clip runs. The daily allowance is measured by weight rather than by count, so a clip uses up several uploads because it weighs several. The current numbers are shown inside the app, which is the authoritative place for them, and we may adjust them with notice.
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change, and we may discontinue the app with reasonable notice — in which case you will have time to save your photos.
The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer in the EU. Keen Drop is not a backup service: we are not liable for photos you did not save to your own device before the 30 days ran out.
Estonian law applies, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
