Privacy Policy

Keen Eye, Keen Ear & Keen Grid (iOS apps) and the keeneye.photo website · Effective: September 8, 2026

The short version. Your learning, your recordings and your photo library stay on your device. Keen Grid has no accounts at all; in Keen Eye and Keen Ear signing in is optional, uses Sign in with Apple only, and mirrors your profile and progress into your own iCloud so they follow you between your devices. We run no account server. Usage statistics never leave your device. The only time content you create leaves your phone is when you ask for an AI-powered result (an AI photo critique, a mission check, a reel breakdown, a freestyle report, an AI finish); the app asks for your explicit consent before the first send, and then it is sent securely to our AI provider, Anthropic, used only to produce your answer, and never used to train models. Payments are handled entirely by Apple; we never see your card. None of the apps contains an advertising SDK: the free tiers of Keen Eye and Keen Ear may show an occasional full-screen promo for our own Keen apps, drawn on the device, and any paid subscription removes it. Keen Grid shows no promos at all.

1. Who we are

Keen Eye, Keen Ear and Keen Grid are made by Ubique Technologies OÜ (Estonia; registry code 17102934, Ahtri tn 12, 15551 Tallinn), the data controller for the processing described here. Contact: contact@ubique-technologies.com.

2. What the apps process, and where

Account

Keen Grid has no accounts: nothing to create, nothing to sign in to. In Keen Eye and Keen Ear there is no registration and no password: signing in is optional and uses Sign in with Apple only. You can skip it and use the whole app as a guest; everything you do then stays on that device. Your name and age are asked during onboarding so the app can greet you and set the difficulty, and are stored on your device. We do not run account servers and never see a password.

iCloud sync, if you sign in

When you sign in with Apple, the app mirrors your profile (your name, age, gender, interface language, your invite-code seed, your learning progress and your completed missions) into your own iCloud account, using Apple's iCloud key-value storage, so the same progress appears on any of your iPhones. That record lives under your Apple ID on Apple's servers, not on ours: we cannot read it, and it is not "collected" by us in the App Store's sense. If iCloud is off on the phone, the app simply works without sync. Delete account in Settings erases the iCloud record along with the local one. Guests are never mirrored.

An optional profile photo stays on your device too: it is cropped to an avatar, written to the app's private storage, and never uploaded.

Your photos, videos and recordings

Usage statistics

The apps keep simple usage counters and screen statistics to improve the experience. These are written to a local file on your device and are never transmitted. They carry no account, no device identifier and no content. Because they are anonymous by construction and never leave the phone, there is no switch to turn off: accepting the terms on first run covers them, and deleting the app or the account deletes them.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We receive no card details and no billing identity, only an anonymous, signed receipt that unlocks your plan on the device.

Support messages

When you write to us from Settings, the message is sent to our own endpoint and stored there so we can read it and answer you. In Keen Eye the feedback form also attaches your account email address, if you are signed in, so we can reply; Keen Ear’s suggestion box is anonymous: it sends no email and no account data. In both apps the request additionally carries the app version and the install identifier described below, and our server records a truncated form of the IP address it came from (the last block is dropped) as a basic anti-abuse measure. Your name, your progress and your content are never attached.

The install identifier

Each installation creates a random identifier on the device and keeps it in the iOS Keychain. It travels with AI requests and with support messages so our endpoint can enforce your monthly allowance and stop abuse. It is not your Apple ID and not an advertising identifier, and it is never used to track you across apps. Because a Keen Eye support message can carry your account email and the same identifier, that one record does associate the two; in the App Store privacy label this identifier is therefore declared as linked to you.

3. Promos in the free tier

None of the apps contains an advertising SDK. There is no Google AdMob, no third-party ad network, no advertising identifier, no App Tracking Transparency prompt and no SKAdNetwork registration in any of them. Keen Grid shows no promos at all.

4. What we do NOT do

5. Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives on your device, deleting it is in your hands:

6. Legal bases (GDPR)

You can withdraw consent at any time: the AI switch in each app's Settings (the app then asks again before any further send), and Cookie settings on the website. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection; write to contact@ubique-technologies.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in Estonia, the AKI).

7. Website cookies

keeneye.photo sets no analytics cookies unless you press Accept all. If you accept, we measure pages viewed, approximate location (country/region from a truncated IP), device type, browser and referral with Google Analytics 4: IP anonymized, advertising features off. Your choice is stored for 12 months and can be changed any time via Cookie settings in the footer.

8. Children

The apps are intended for users aged 13 and over and are not directed at children. Age information requested during onboarding is used to tailor content difficulty and is stored on your device, and, if you sign in with Apple, in your own iCloud as part of the profile mirror described in section 2.

9. Security

Plan entitlements and usage counters are stored in the iOS Keychain (hardware-backed). There are no passwords. All network calls use TLS, and requests to our AI relay are signed and time-limited. Purchases are verified with Apple's signed transactions.

10. Changes

We will post any changes here and update the effective date. Material changes will be flagged inside the apps.
